We found Daisy wondering on a busy street in the spring of 2022. When we placed her in our car, she was very dirty, and matted with extremely long nails. We could tell she was blind. After several weeks of waiting in the SPCA, no one claimed her or put in an application to adopt her besides us. So we adopted her. While at the SPCA, we learned she was deaf.

Daisy was remarkable. She learned the property and could find the door to come in from outside. While outside, she could smell our car coming in the driveway and would get excited. She learned how to navigate the rooms in the house and would always find us wherever we were. She was only vocal at dinner time, letting us know it was time. In the short three years she was with us, we learned so much from her and the remarkable ability to overcome her lack of sight and hearing. We could not imagine life without her. But mostly, she loved to lay next to you and be petted or rubbed.
